JOB TITLE: HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSULTANT/PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

As a Health and Safety Consultant based at our multi-disciplinary consultancy office in Birmingham, you will provide clients with strategic advice on developing and implementing their health and safety policy along with structured and comprehensive risk management systems at any stage of a construction project or infrastructure project. Working as part of a small growing team you will be involved in construction projects that cover sectors such as Hotels, Housing, Offices, Retail, Health and Education.
The majority of projects are Principal Designer appointments.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
•NEBOSH NGC qualification minimum
•IOSH Technical qualification minimum
Experience of carrying out the duties of a Principal Designer (Ideally on large scale projects), with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them from Design stage through to practical completion.
You will use a wide range of tools and processes within your role; from simple and effective risk registers to sophisticated risk modelling software, providing our clients with the best advice to help develop risk responses and plans to eliminate the risks on their projects or within their existing facilities.
You will need to be presentable with good communication skill as the role is client facing. An ability to produce your own documentation based on our standards is essential as is an ability to organise, manage your time efficiently in the delivery of the services for multiple projects at any one time.
