Job Description

Technical Supervision Officer
Location: nr Elgin, Scotland
Salary: £Competitive
Contract: Fixed term, 8 months. May 2019 – Dec 2019 inclusive.

Main Duties:
• Quality assurance of all M&E fit-out against the approved technical design
• Provide on-site presence and witnessing for all works conducted
• Maintain photographic records of all installations
• Provide written daily reports on progress
• Maintain the “construction file” required for accreditation of the facility post construction
• Monitor, report on and raise concerns on the contractor’s adherence to the Construction Security Plan
• Attend relevant Design, Contractor and client meetings as required
• Maintain a robust document management system
• To assist in and produce reports to suit relevant stages of the projects – daily site visits, weekly and monthly reports
• Monitor and report on the contractor’s progress against the contract programme
• Identify, record and manage defects
• Ensure that all CDM regulations have been followed throughout the delivery of project

Hours of work
• Core site hours: Monday – Saturday 07:00 – 19:00
• Anticipated hours of work: 37.5hrs per week. Coverage to be split on a shift pattern between 2 individuals due to the extended hours of site operation. Shift pattern to be confirmed.

Skills & Experience Required
• Security Clearance is essential. This will be processed through the Project if not already held.
• Applicant must be a UK Passport holder.
• 3 years construction industry experience minimum
• High quality oral and written communications (reports, instructions etc)
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel

• 25 days holiday and study leave per annum
• Pension; standard 6% Ridge contribution
